RF Planning (Radio Frequency Planning)

In the context of wireless communication systems, RF planning is the process that consists of the study and sizing of the system parameters (frequencies used, positioning of the transmission equipment, the definition of operating parameters) aimed at ensuring adequate network coverage and capacity for the requested service. This process has two objectives: the sizing of the network capacity and its coverage. The first quantity relates to the number of devices that the network can host and support, while the second varies according to the topology of the installation site. These two factors are antagonistic: with the same resources, increasing coverage means reducing capacity and vice versa.

Key users are trained on the commissioning of the devices through the Urbana Toolkit application or through the platform in the Trainer mode

Platform Setup

The platform can be configured based on different aspects. Just to name a few, for example, triggers, groups, licenses, users, etc.

Support for Integration using the standard API

Urbana technical team supports the customer for software integration using the standard API provided by the platform. For example, creating, editing, and removing devices or extracting KPI for data analysis.

Integration of new device

Devices can be integrated into the platform scanning the QR code or recording the serial code. However, when selecting a device, it is possible that it has not yet been integrated. In this case, it is possible to implement the integration of the device according to the needs of the customer.

Development of customized integration

Urbana develops integrations for customer-specific business needs when standard API does not fully cover customer requirements.

Development of customized Dashboard

Meeting and facilitating customer requests is essential, for this reason, Urbana develops custom dashboards extending them for new features or requests, creating an ad hoc program for the user.

The implemented solution involves the application of strategies capable of delivering data in a synchronous manner within storage clusters, which are archived through periodic backups within systems outside the execution environments of application software. This mode allows for obtaining a high resistance to critical events and accidents to physical systems (disaster-proof). All systems are, in turn, installed on data centers physically different and distant from each other. All to ensure that the end-user can access their data in real-time and on-demand, according to the respective license plans purchased.
