Device Description

PKI1 is a radio device and it monitors a single slot in a car park. The device provides a complete suite of features ensuring a continuous view of the system performance to implement logic that allows continuous improvement.  

PKI1 detects the presence of vehicles with an accuracy greater than 98% thanks to the double MMMW detection technology, which allows to combine the advantages of the 3-axis magnetic sensor and millimeter wave radar. 

PKI1 sends information relating to the status of the parking area at each change (parking space occupied by a vehicle or free parking), allowing precise monitoring. The device is designed to minimize consumption and is powered by a long-lasting battery. 

The radio communication interface followLoRaWAN® 1.0.2 (class A) standards, a low-power, long-range communication technology. 

The device’s installation is underground, it is a positioning flush with the road surface. This place ensures a clean, non-protruding arrangement to prevent difficulties during road cleaning or snow removal. 

PKI1 is designed to operate even critical environmental conditionsIt is designed to operate in the temperature range –40° C to + 80° C, it has an IP67 degree of protection and endures loads up to 10 tons. 

It is possible to install the device via the URBANA TOOLKIT mobile application, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with easy-to-use QUICKSCAN procedures.

Urbana Toolkit is Urbana’s smartphone and tablet app that allows you to install, configure and locate devices in just 4 steps. This tool has an essential layout and guarantees ease of use during the installation process by summarizing the phases in a simple and effective way.

The configuration is complete only after the calibration. Follow the steps in the user manual for more information.

SCAN QR CODE

To proceed with the installation and registration of the device, you need to access the app with your user and start the configuration by scanning the Qr code present on all the devices integrated by Urbana.

SET GROUP AND LOCATION

It then continues with the assignment of a membership group and geolocation. With the first function it is possible to have a hierarchical and detailed cataloging on the platform. With the second the exact positioning is given to the device.

ADD DEVICE’S DETAILS

To complete the installation of the device it is necessary to add the name and other specifications based on the type. This section also displays all technical information.

COMPLETE

Once all the previous steps have been correctly completed, the device is active and ready to process data ensuring maximum performance.
